After putting my desktop into sleep mode, it will reactivate after five minutes without being prompted.  I have checked the power setup and everything is as it used to be.  Seems it started right after a recent Windows upgrade.

Hi @JayC144,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how this can be frustrating. Let’s narrow it down with a few questions:

  • Have you noticed any new devices connected to your desktop after the Windows upgrade that could be causing the reactivation?
  • Are there any scheduled tasks or background apps running that could be waking your desktop up automatically?
  • Has there been any recent change in your network setup, such as a new router or connection to a different Wi-Fi network, that could be causing the desktop to wake up?

May I have the exact name and product number of the unit? Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.
