Palm Zire 150m

I have been using a Palm Zire 150m for 21 yrs and recently the battery went dead. I tried to charge as usual but the device still wouldn't activate. It was suggested online that I do a "soft" reset which I did but still nothing. I went back to the basics and found out my surge protector wasn't working so after plugging the device into another outlet it charged fine and powered up but unfortunately, all the data is gone. Would it be possible to recovery the data on this device or is it just gone forever?
