Omen 15
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, just recently got the Omen 15 laptop

have 1 issue with how SSD is separated

i want to have 1 big space for maximum usage, but stock SSD separated in 2 parts (actually there were 4 before, but 2 and 2 i managed to merge)

problem is i have 2 OEM recovery partitions in between those 2 primary partitions (seriously, i thought logically they should go in the end or in the beggining, not in the middle?)

basically it is like this:

(EFI\260mb)--(C:\248,60gb\NFTS\Boot,PageFile,CrashDump)--(OEM\612mb\NFTS)--(OEM\543mb\NFTS\"Windows RE Tools")--(D:\226,94gb\NFTS)

I want to merge C:\ and D:\ into just C:\

Are there ways to do it? Thanks in advance

Hi

I would make a recovery USB first, then try something like gparted.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

https://gparted.org/index.php

or try using W10 as a clean install.

i guess i will try this Gparted, thank you

i just recently tried Windows 10 clean install, but it only let me to merge partitions that are next to each other (hence i mentioned 4 became 2) it had no way to edit, remove or move OEM partitions sadly

Hi

Gpartrd is an integral part of most major OS's.

Debian

Et Al

SuSe

Fedora and my favourite Lubuntu.

But not Microsoft.
