Product: Chromebook 14-ca052wm
Operating System: Chrome OS

My chromebook says it is missing the Chrome OS. I have tried to load the operating system from Google Chrome onto a thumb drive. When I put it in my chromebook it says that there is nothing on the drive. I have tried this several times. I bought my chromebook about a year ago. 

 

Thank you for any help that I can get.

I'm not a Chromebook expert, but from what I read, in order to recovery it, you must have first installed the Chromebook Recovery Utility.

 

It you did that, the USB should work -- and I have no idea why it does not.

 

Either way, you should contact Google for assistance in this, since it is their OS.
