Pavilion dv7
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I recently had issues with my Pavilion dv7 laptop.  I ended up performing a backup on to 12 DVDs followed by a factory reset. Once this was achieved, I managed to use RecoveryMgr.exe on the first DVD to restore everything back to my laptop.  However, later on the laptop became totally inaccessible, so I purchased a second hand laptop to try and restore my data onto.  However, when the 3rd DVD is inserted, the restore progresses for a while then completely stops showing the details of a particular JPEG file. Several attempts have been made (and also on to my PC) but it always stops at the same  file.

I have then attempted to restore but omitting 'Pictures' from the recovery selection menu.  This allows the whole recovery process to complete successfully for the other categories.  I have then attempted to restore only selecting 'Pictures' from the menu but it fails again on the 3rd DVD at the same file name.

My HP laptop was then again accessible to me and when I search the original restore for the named JPEG file, it finds it successfully and displays it.

Is there any way to try and restore the rest of my picture files but ignoring the one which causes it to stop, or are there any other parameters that I can set before restoring to ignore the error which occurs of DVD3? I have also tried to make another copy of DVD3 using Nero, but I get a read error part way through this process.

Can anyone help?
