I am in the process of resetting my late husband’s laptop and it has been at ‘64% installing’ for a day and a half. Is it safe to assume it’s stuck and should be turned off and back on??

Tap the ESC key when powering up and make sure the hard drive test and the memory test all pass.

You might be better off with a factory restore.  I suspect your product ID is 3ZH88UA#ABA

Go here and put in your product ID to get the original factory software

You will need a 32gb flash drive.  It may be windows 10 instead of 11 but you can always upgrade.
