Huffer the way this thing has been going is leaving me with doubts that no matter what I do those files and folders may never open again.  I know its partly me being a newbie and just not willing to spend unlimited time and money on this.
I'm not certain the download isn't or wasn't corrupted right from the start?!?
Too bad.

Huffer, No problem! I've deeply appreciated all you've done Past and Present.

If I type in C: and open that (in the left pane) there are Windows > Downloads >  User 1 and low a behold there are quite a few of the photos, PDF, files, etc. But, I have not been able to find the exact thing I've been looking for. Don't know how or why but at this point  it doesn't look like the entire Backup is there at least?  It gave me some hope. This is  ALL without the External HD connected that the Backup is on. Not sure why its on the computer now?!? Or where or if there is more that can be found?  There's some items in there going back to 2018.

— Picked up this darn thing from somewhere and did manage to Block and Delete it. PUA:Win32/CandyOpen

Ran a Full Scan with Windows Defender, also tried **Adware removal and **MWB. I did Reset both browsers as well. **They didn't find it  though. I'll keep looking in the meantime.
Other thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

Sincerely, Raphael
