At the start up of my laptop it doesn't turn on it just flashes a light. It has done this before but I fully charged it and it was back working like normal. Now like every 10 to 15 seconds it will flash a light on the screen but not turn on.

@igogetit249, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this issue with your laptop. Here are some potential steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Check the Charger and Battery:

  • Ensure that your charger is properly connected and functioning. Try a different charger if possible.
  • Check the battery connection. If it's removable, reseat the battery, or if it's an internal battery, ensure it is properly connected.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect any external devices such as USB drives or printers.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the charger and attempt to power the laptop on.

Inspect for Indicator Lights:

Examine the Display:

  • Connect the laptop to an external monitor to check if the issue is with the display rather than the internal components. If the external monitor works, the problem may lie with the laptop's screen or drivers.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
