I’m facing serious system issues while playing Valorant on my HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1xxx laptop. Even though it’s a gaming laptop, the game frequently freezes, the screen sometimes flickers or goes completely blank, and I’ve also experienced multiple blue screen crashes. While checking the Event Viewer, I’ve noticed errors related to TPM hardware, DNS timeouts, and COM server permission problems. These issues usually happen during gameplay and have made it difficult to play smoothly. I suspect outdated or corrupted BIOS and chipset drivers might be the cause, but I’m unable to find proper support for my exact model as HP’s website fails to detect it correctly.
TPM Error
"The device driver for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encountered a non-recoverable error in the TPM hardware, which prevents TPM services (such as data encryption) from being used. For further help, please contact the computer manufacturer."
DNS Timeout
"Name resolution for the name t-ring-fdv2.msedge.net timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded. Client PID 13560."
COM Server Permission Error
"The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID {6B3B8D23-FA8D-40B9-8DBD-B950333E2C52} and APPID {4839DDB7-58C2-48F5-8283-E1D1807D0D7D} to the user NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE SID (S-1-5-19) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool."
