The rogue Smart Internet Protection 2011 comes from a family of Fake security software called 'Virus Doctor'. See here;
http://siri-urz.blogspot.com/search/label/GCodeRogue
It's most recent predecessor is Personal Internet Security 2011.
At Malwarebytes we have fully integrated the installation and file activity of SIP 2011 into the latest databases. The active return of the malware after should be resolved by following this guide.

Should the problem with Smart Internet Protection 2011 persist, then we will be pleased to help with it's removal here;

@topmahof
I know how I feel when something like this creeps in and hate to see anyone struggling with malware. While many are trying to help here, some of the links they post are recommending different downloads to help clean. When you are already infected downloading other software that I am not very familiar and/or comfortable with is just not a good idea,imo.The guys at MalwareBytes forum are very good at this type of cleaning and I trust any software they recommend to use.

thank you, and i think more people would say thank you if they weren't already so drained and exasperated by this stupid mal ware, it has just about used up all my brains, so if i weren't already a member of the forum, the last thing i would want to do is join and say thank you...
BUT, since i still have a few brain cells yet, i thought i would say thank you on behalf of all the others who are fried from trying to deal with this rude and jerky fraud software...
this is the biggest internet insult i have seen in a long time...i mean, they thought of everything...including planting fake help information on google...these guys are getting so sinister it's just freaky...and mal ware bytes still doens't show it as anything when you scan for it...i hope they get something to stop these guys soon, this is ridiculous!

amend what i said to "the malwarebytes" program i have on my computer still doesn't show anything when i run a scan for it (perhaps i need to update...haven't done that manually, i always rely on the automatic stuff...so i hate to proclaim they don't have the answer yet when they may have and i just havn't caught up with it yet!
i just can conceptualize the kind of person who would want to make money by doing this to people...dirty money for sure

@jocheryl
Thanks for the note...& no explanation needed_I know that most of the folks in this thread who are looking for help are very stressed out with this.
If you still have the nasty SIP 2011 on your machine,follow the guided steps starting about 1/3 down on the page HERE It appears that several steps must be taken (especially proxy server) before Malwarebytes can update itself and clean it.
Good luck!
