Hi @Dylan88B,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're encountering an issue with resetting your HP laptop. The beeping sound could be an indication of a hardware problem. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
Hard Reset:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Disconnect the power cable and remove the battery (if applicable).
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cable and insert the battery (if applicable).
- Turn on the laptop and check if the issue persists.
Boot in Safe Mode:
- Restart the laptop.
- As it starts up, press the "F8" key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
- Choose "Safe Mode" and see if the laptop boots successfully.
Use System Restore:
- If you have a restore point set, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state.
- Boot into Safe Mode (as mentioned in step 2) and access System Restore from there.
Check for Hardware Issues:
- If the problem persists, it may be a hardware issue. Check for loose connections or any hardware changes.
Remember to back up your important data before attempting any major troubleshooting steps,
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
