From couple weeks I experiencing a lot of issue with my Envy notebook.
I already trying all that I know about it, and still the issue is present .
I also get in contact with a HP agent online, and I was suggested to go in an Up office from the country where I'm at this moment for a fresh install of a Windows genuine under the warranty.
Because I was chech up with other things to do , I was not have time last week for that, but eventually I will do this week.
I'm pretty sure that HP Romania with their service will reject my issue under warranty conditions, and the device will go on USA for fixing .
The notebook runs the latest Windows version, and after a while (15 or 70 minutes) is stopped, and go to the blue screen, with the the message " Your PC run in to a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you" , and stay like that without any results .At this point the keyboard is not responding. Sometimes the same thing but is show in procent that collect informations about error and when is 100% stay like that ....until I press the start button to stopped .
If I go on Microsoft website and download a Windows 10 ,64 bits version and reinstal from a usb, will be a good idea?
I bought this laptop for my wife ,as open box from Amazon when I was in USA, and for couple months I'm deployed in Romania without possibly to used.
Thanks in advance for your advices

Welcome to the HP Support Community
Let's follow the below solutions.
Solution 1 – Start Windows in Safe Mode and Check for Drivers
- Reboot or close the Windows 8.1, Windows 10 PC.
- When the PC starts press F8 on the keyboard or another combination would be Shift + F8.
- The Recovery Mode should start.
- From within the Recovery Mode you need to select Safe Mode by following the instructions on the screen.
- After the Computer boots up in Safe Mode, hover the mouse to the right side of the screen and click in the search box in the start menu.
- Type in the search box Device Manager.
- After Device Manager is opened we need to update the drivers one by one. This way we will see if one of our drivers has caused this error to appear.
- After updating the drivers we need to reboot the PC.
- See if you get the same error message.
Solution 2 – Check if There Are Any Hardware Issues
- Enter Safe mode as explained in the first tutorial.
- Open the Start screen and type chkdsk.
- Click (left click) on chkdsk.
- Start the chkdsk program and let it run, if you get any stops along the way with errors it will probably be that you’re hard drive is not working properly.
Solution 3 – Run Windows Memory Diagnostics
- To check the Hardware memory we need to go on the Start screen of Windows 10, Windows 8.1.
- Type in the search box Windows Memory Diagnostic.
- Click (left click) on Windows Memory Diagnostic.
- Let the Windows Memory Diagnostic run, if you get any stops along the way like in the hard drive check with errors then try to replace the memory.
Solution 4 – Uninstall the problematic Windows Updates
According to users, Whea_Uncorrectable_Error can sometimes appear due to problematic Windows updates. If you noticed this error after a recent update, you might have to remove the update in order to fix this problem. To do that, follow these steps:
- Press Windows Key + I to open the Settings app.
- Now go to Update & security section.
- Click on Update history.
- Now click on Uninstall updates.
- List of updates will now appear. Double click on a specific update in order to remove it.
After removing the problematic updates, check if the issue still appears.
Keep me posted, how it goes!
