I PLAY ROBLOX PLUGGED IN for hours with an elitebook folio 9470M LAPTOP AND NOW WHEN I TURN ON MY PC IT GIVES ME A BATTERY ALERT MESSAGE

HP's UEFI diagnostics can test your laptop's battery as described here. Pressing F2 when powering up runs the UEFI diagnostics.

 

Battery should last about 5 years but less for gaming systems. Have you done a battery calibration?

 

The calibration can reset the battery and the laptop may be able to accurately tell when the battery is really at %100 and full, or is near %10 so a warning can be given.
