Hi @harsha0336h

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for sharing this—I'm really sorry your HP Victus is stuck in a restart loop. That “Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart” message usually points to a critical system error, often triggered by a driver fault, corrupted system file, or hardware instability.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help you recover your laptop.

Step-by-Step Recovery Guide

1. Try Safe Mode (if accessible)

  • Turn on the laptop and force shutdown by holding the power button as soon as the error appears.
  • Repeat this 3 times—Windows should enter Recovery Mode.
  • Choose Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart, then press F4 for Safe Mode.

If Safe Mode loads successfully:

  • Uninstall any recent drivers or updates.
  • Run System File Checker:
Open Command Prompt as admin and type:sfc /scannow

2. Use HP UEFI Hardware Diagnostics

  • Turn off the laptop.
  • Press Esc repeatedly while powering on, then press F2 to enter diagnostics.
  • Run System Test and Memory Test to check for hardware faults.

If all tests pass, the issue is likely software-related.

3. Perform System Restore

If Recovery Mode appears:

  • Go to Advanced Options > System Restore.
  • Choose a restore point before the issue started.

4. Reset Windows (Keep Files)

If System Restore isn’t available or doesn’t help:

  • Go to Advanced Options > Reset this PC.
  • Choose Keep my files.
  • This reinstalls Windows while preserving your personal data.

5. Update BIOS and Drivers After Recovery

Once your system is stable:

  • Visit HP Victus a15 Drivers Page
  • Download and install the latest:
    • BIOS
    • Chipset
    • Graphics (NVIDIA and AMD)
    • Storage and Firmware updates

Let me know if the error persists after these steps or if you’re unable to reach Recovery Mode—I’ll guide you through creating a bootable recovery USB if needed.

You're doing everything right, and we’ll get your Victus back on track.
