I am having battery issues and was hoping the newer F.37 Rev.A BIOS would fix the problem but I cannot find it anywhere.

Hey @IBeMeBruv,

Thank you for your response, My colleague @Kuroi_Kenshi is currently out, but don't worry – I’ll be taking over and making sure we get this sorted for you.

It appears you're looking for the F.37 Rev.A BIOS driver, but it hasn't been released. Currently, the most recent available driver is F.29 Rev.A.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi @IBeMeBruv,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To find the BIOS update for your HP 17m-bw0013dx laptop, you should visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Follow these steps to locate and download the BIOS update:

  1. Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
  2. On the "Identify your product to get started" page, click on "Laptop".
  3. Enter your laptop's serial number or product name (17m-bw0013dx) and click "Submit".
  4. If specific results are found, the software results page will appear, and your laptop's default operating system will be selected automatically. If necessary, you can change the operating system.
  5. Scroll down the list of available software and driver categories until you find the "BIOS" category.
  6. Click on the "BIOS" category name, and then click "Download" next to the BIOS version you need, if F.37 Rev.A is available.

If F.37 Rev.A BIOS is not listed for your specific model, it could be that it's not yet available or is not required for your laptop. Another option is to use the HP Support Assistant, which comes preinstalled on HP computers and can help identify and provide updates for your laptop’s software, drivers, and BIOS.

I hope this helps.

Yes, i did all of that and the last version of the Bios I could get was F.29, which is currently installed. In talking with Ai it stated there was a bios released 11/14/22, F.37 Rev.A that might fix my "battery not installed" issue. I was hoping for a link to download that Bios Version as it will not auto generate in the Product Page on HP Website for my series computer.

Thanks, I was relying on Grok AI for my information, it seems F.29 is the latest BIOS for my series laptop and the version I am looking for isn't even available. Can't always

rely on AI to get it right........... I'll start looking into the motherboard.
