Slimline 270 P033W
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

On August 2018 I purchased the HP Slimline computer with Windows 10 (64) on it and since that time Microsoft had change the version on the computer from 1807 to 1803, which worked at a 100% on all my installed softwware even the schedule backup system on the computer, except when on January 17, 2019 I encounter a problem on a windows update and therefore, I call Microsoft help tech support [edit].

Upon talking to one of their tech support personnel they informed me the trouble I had was due to the wrong version (1803) on my computer and therefore, they had to do a remote control (per them) to change to their new version 1809. This was all done on a case number [edit]on January 17, 2019 and all was completed on the same day. Of course, I though from what I saw it look ok, until my schedule backup system (which is shown on the Windows 10 power panel has Backup & Restoral -Windows 7) was to run on January 20, 2019. This was when the REAL PROBLEM STARTED, after 4 trys , which were unsuccessfull and 4 error reports showing 0x80070013 ("media is write protected") I gave up and called Microsoft support on January 21, 2019 for help at which time they gave anothe case number of [edit]!!!!!

Today is January 26, 2019, and after 4 calls [edit] (Microsoft support number) and after 1 tech support person at a level #1 and two (2) tech supports at a level 2 I still have the backup system problem of not being able to do a system backup on my computer without receiving an error report of 0x80070013 ("media write is protected")!!!!!!

I' still waiting for a resolution on why this occuring from Microsoft or Microsoft tech support! Is there anyone out there who can help in this problem on resolving my problem on not being able to do a system backup on my computer????

i just posted the above subject matter , but I left out one of the most important things, I believe, and that is I do have an existing case number with HP already on the above subject matter and case number is [removed], since it's important for HP to know how their customers are treated who buy their product (HP computer) with a Microsoft software on it are treated by a company who they (HP)  has a contractual agreement with! Thank you

Well it's been one day after I wrote the above article dealing with Microsoft version 1809 and the error (0x80070013 - media is write protected) I was receiving upon trying to do a backup process on my Windows 10 (64 bit) version 1809, which I had no previous problem on Windows 10 version 1803, therefore, I made a decision to go back to the original version - - - 1803 - - -that I had - - - -  that gave me no such problem! Of course, I called Microsoft tech support again and with some debate from their tech he finally agree to do as I ask. It took some time as you will note, but I finally got the Windows 10 version 1803 installed on my computer and everything is working "NOW" a 100% even the backup process.

This is a lesson well learned  - - - don't trust anything - - - unless they show you proof it will work a 100%, no matter if they said you need to upgrade, when your version is working 100%!!!!!

My problem was not testing all my computer systems (backup & others processes) before closing the case number I was given on January 17, 2019, and the schedule backup process didn't start until January 20, 2019, therefore, I had to call back on January 21, 2019, to get another case number when the version they change from 1803 to 1809 didn't work at all, even after 4 tries on the backup process from the Windows 10 power panel - - - which is shown as Windows 7 - - - backup and restoral!

From January 21, 2019 on the second case number [edit]I had to call in the amount of more than 6 times to get a tech to answer and try to get some type of resolution, which didn't happen, therefore, that is why I had their Microsoft support tech change my version back to 1803, which did work and "NOW" it does work a 100%! Thank you!
