Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am setting up a new laptop for my parents. As they are accustomed to Windows 7 and I have a genuine install DVD lying around, I'd love to make it work on Windows 7. (I bought the system without any preinstalled operating system, because I already have the Install DVD).

I have managed to install the operating system, and it boots into desktop, however the setup found almost no driver at all and there is a long list of devices in Device Manager which show problems.

I figure the mainboard drivers should come first and that would fix some of the listed devices.

Any idea where i could start?

Hi:

I'm usually pretty optimistic about getting new notebooks to work on W7, but unfortunately, there are no W7 graphics drivers that I think will work for the Intel/AMD switchable graphics that model has.

First install the Intel chipset installation utility driver and restart the PC.

The 2nd file down on the left is the auto install file.

USB3:  Download, unzip and run the setup application from the link below.

Try these graphics drivers.  If they don't work, reinstall W10.

Intel first, restart.

AMD:  1st driver on the webpage.  Install and restart.

If you are successful with the above drivers, please post the hardware ID's for the remaining devices that need drivers, and I will continue to help you further.

Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID's:
