Product: Pavilion g6
Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

I have a HP Pavilion g6 and the Operating System is XP, is that the same as 8.1?  I think I have to reboot my whole computer system and I need to download it but I am not sure which one to use.  Also it is so big I am going to need either a DVD or USB memory card that holds 4500 mb any suggerstions?

No, Windows XP is a lot older than Win8.x.

 

I'm not aware of anywhere that you can get XP anymore, including downloads -- as HP has not stocked this for years.
