Hi. I have a laptop that will not boot into Windows, and the Reset My PC option is not present in the recovery environment. I need my product key so that I can reinstall Windows from an ISO. I do not have the box the laptop came in. How can I get the product key if it will not boot into Windows?

HP Recommended

If your PC came with Windows 8 or newer, the product key is encrypted in the PC's BIOS.

 

You won't need the product key to reinstall Windows.
