@5CD310H3D1, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

Let's try to get your laptop powered back on.

Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset

This helps clear any residual electrical charge that might be preventing startup.

  1. Turn off the laptop completely.
  2. Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  3. Press and hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  4. Reconnect only the power adapter (leave battery out if removable).
  5. Press the Power button again to try turning it on.

Step 2: Check Power Supply

  • Ensure the power adapter is properly connected and the LED near the charging port is lit.
  • Try a different wall outlet or a known working HP adapter if available.

Step 3: Look for Signs of Life

  • Do you see any lights (power button, keyboard backlight, charging LED)?
  • Do you hear fan noise or feel heat from the vents?

If no lights or sounds, it could be a power or motherboard issue.

Step 4: Try Connecting to an External Display

If the screen is black but the laptop seems to power on:

  • Connect to an external monitor via HDMI or VGA.
  • Press F4 or Fn + F4 to switch display modes.

Step 5: BIOS Recovery (if applicable)

HP laptops support BIOS recovery using key combinations:

  1. Turn off the laptop.
  2. Press and hold Windows key + B, then press and hold the Power button for 2-3 seconds.
  3. Release all keys and wait for BIOS recovery screen.
