@yoimmcdonough

I just noticed that your code starts with an ( i )

For that model and ( i ) code you will need to contact HP in your region and they should be able to generate your Master Pass Code from your System Disabled Code.

Phone >> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-phone-assist.html

Chat >> https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp

When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.

P.S. Please post back with HP's response to your request.

I spoke with someone on the phone and they said where my warranty had run out in June that it would cost me $50 that I do not have at the moment so I guess for now I'll just use it as paper weight. Thanks for your help

Yes, also someone on this post actually paid the $50 and HP still did not resolve their "i" prefixed password issue.

@yoimmcdonough   and   @kyle_b

There is NO other way.

The  ( i ) code  and  the  ( HEX )  code have NOT been reversed engineered YET.

So no one on the forum has any way of providing you with a Master Pass Code.

The ONLY way at this time is to go to HP.

Sorry, but to tell you the truth HP support has no idea what to do.

All it would take is to use your code to generate the master code that was imbedded in your BIOS when it was manufactured.
