Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Elitebook 8460p running windows 10 Pro 64-bit. System cannot find installed camera. I've had this issue before and found another driver that turned it on but can't remember how i did this. The connection has gone missing again after a repair for water damage but can't just take the laptop back to repairer just now. Was hoping to find a software fix again but hp site not interested as it only recognises this PC  with Windows 8 windows 8 on it.

The only suggestion I can offer, would be to install the W10 HP universal camera driver:

HP Universal Camera Driver

10.0.0.10

sp71854.exe

Thanks for the link Paul,

Tried that and installed it and restarted but camera app (and Teams) still saying no camera installed. I had previously tried the Microsoft auto repair and that didn't work either. Maybe the work to repair the computer - it got wet and something needed resoldering - has physically buggered up the camera connection. Hey ho. Back to repair shop.

Thanks for trying.

You're very welcome, Ian.

Sorry that the driver I posted didn't work for your notebook.

Yeah,  I've  checked privacy settings, and app settings and they are all go but camera can't be found in device manager, even after telling it to show hidden devices... ah well.
