If you are getting an ACPI BIOS error, you can fix the problem by going into the BIOS, find the TPM setting and change it to Disabled/Hidden.

 

Updating the BIOS will not fix the problem.

 

If you feel the need to update the BIOS afterward, below are the info and exe links to the last BIOS update HP released for the model series:
