HP can remove BIOS and power on passwords via a service of the computer. You can contact HP Support to set this up. Options vary depending on location and warranty status (Service fee may apply). You will have to contact HP Support for assistance on removing the password.

This didn't help. Thanks anyway. HP wants 200.00 to repair laptop. I can get a new motherboard for about the same price. I can't afford a couple of hundred dollars right now. I was hoping to get the backdoor password somewhere. Normally, I would just remove the RTC battery and clear it that way. This laptop does not seem to have an RTC battery.
