I cannot login to my notebook as the CAPS LOCK light is on. The laptop is about 4 years old.

I understand that you are unable to login since the Caps Lock is constantly on.
I'd like to help.
Please use the Onscreen Keyboard to login to the Desktop
1.) While you are on the sign-in screen, click/tap on the Ease of Access button at the lower left corner, and click/tap on On-Screen Keyboard. (see screenshot below)
May I know since when are you facing this issue?
Is the Caps lock Key stuck?
Please provide me with the Model No or Product Number.

Thank you for getting back to me. Fixed the issue with logging in with another keyboard. My laptop then is ok to do my work and the caps lock doesn't come on. It is a HP 2000 intel Core 13 with Windows 8. I have opened the on-screen keyboard but it only appears as a white screen with no buttons. The scroll button keeps turning and flashing a darker blue. The caps lock button does not feel depressed at all. I need to buy another keyboard or my repair guy said it could fix for between $45 and $75.
