@CLC11, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Chromebook 14a-na0000 starts, lets you log in, then the screen blinks and returns to the login screen, it's likely a corrupted user profile, system glitch, or sync issue. Here's how to troubleshoot it:

Try Guest Mode

  • On the login screen, click "Browse as Guest" at the bottom.
  • If Guest mode works fine, the issue is likely with your user profile.

Powerwash (Factory Reset)

This will reset the Chromebook but can fix most software-related issues.

Warning: This will erase local data. Ensure your files are backed up to Google Drive or an external device.

Steps:

  1. At the login screen, press Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R.
  2. Click "Restart".
  3. When prompted, select "Powerwash" > Continue.

Remove and Re-add Google Account (if you access it)

If you can log in occasionally:

  • Go to Settings > People > Users.
  • Remove the problem account.
  • Reboot and re-add the account.

Try Safe Boot Mode

While not a formal "safe mode," you can press:

  • Esc + Refresh + Power to boot into Recovery Mode.

Then, if needed, follow the prompts to reinstall Chrome OS using a recovery USB.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
