If you're talking about the drive activity light being on a lot, and the fan being loud -- that is a routine thing with Windows 10 because it download and installs Windows Updates every week, without your knowledge and without your permission.

Morning WA,

The fan runs continuously, even after shut down/restart. I believe it may have started after this latest Windows update but previously this is not been an issue. This fan makes me crazy. Is there not a solution?

Thanks

The fans will always run loud for a while immediately after you turn on the laptop -- that's how it works.  But they should quiet down after a couple of minutes at most.  If the fans are loud all the time, every day, there is something wrong -- and unfortunately, there is not a diagnostic test for just that problem.

You would have to take it into a laptop repair facility to have it checked out.
