The unit crashed several times consecutively while attempting a zoom call, then went to BSOD, now will not even power on. I got an error on one of the boots, but the system reset before I could write it down. Maybe E000000and two more numbers?

It sounds like you're dealing with a serious issue if your computer crashed during a Zoom call, hit a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), and now won't power on. Let's try to troubleshoot this step-by-step:

1. Check the Basics

  • Power Supply: Ensure the power cable is securely connected and try a different outlet.
  • Hardware Connections: If you’re comfortable, check internal connections like the power supply to the motherboard, and any cables connected to drives or other components.

2. Remove External Devices

  • Disconnect all peripherals (USB devices, external drives, printers) and try powering on again.

3. Look for Error Codes

  • BSOD Error Code: The error code you mentioned (E000000 and some numbers) isn’t immediately recognizable, but it could be related to hardware or driver issues. If you see an error code on a subsequent boot, write it down for reference.

4. Try Safe Mode or Recovery Options

  • If the computer powers on but doesn’t boot into Windows normally, try booting into Safe Mode. This might allow you to identify and fix driver or software issues.

5. Perform a Hard Reset

  • For Laptops: Remove the battery (if possible), unplug the power cord, and hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Then, reconnect the battery and power cord and try turning it on again.
  • For Desktops: Unplug the power cord, hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and try turning it on.
