Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I goofed up, I hope to learn and teach friends not to do what I did.  My HD failed, I got it to reboot with the restore disk i created, but upon testing it showed the hd fAILED. I think it failed before the end of warrenty, but I didn't act on it....stupid me.  My question is...can the hd be repaired  cause it seems to be missing some files...and/ or what would be the cost of fixing it (assuming it could be fixed).  I think it failed within the warrent period, but not sure.  TY in advqnce for any help..I will pass help thoughts to others  🙂

The hard drive should be replaced. Your service manual states a 500gb or 750gb SATA laptop hdd can be used. These can be purchased for less than $100- usually around $60. Unfortunately your model makes it more difficult to change the hdd but the Service Manual shows how:
