Good Day,

15-bs2xx (not a choice in above drop-down). hard drive has 3 stickers:

     1st

- 500g-5400

SPS:77818d

ate code: 7J1880

     2nd:

100701275

PBPSV

4109  M1

     3rd:

9421 H

Can I remove this HD and get a plug adaptor to try and retrieve data? 7 years old, won't boot to WIN. HP diagnostics stuck on HD for 19 hours. Thank you.

Hi:

 

You can try to recover data from the drive using a SATA to USB cable, but the chances of being successful are not that great.

 

However, one of those cables is not expensive and is certainly worth giving it a try.
