Hi @julien788 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to schedule hibernation or manage extended standby settings on your Victus by HP 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop (15-fb0000) with Windows 11, you can set up hibernation timing using the power and sleep settings. Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Enable Hibernate Mode (if it’s not available):

  1. Open the Control Panel and go to Power Options.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Choose what the power buttons do.
  3. Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
  4. Scroll down and check the box for Hibernate to add it to the power options.
  5. Click Save changes.

Adjust Sleep and Hibernate Timings:

  1. Go back to Power Options in the Control Panel.
  2. Next to your current power plan, click on Change plan settings.
  3. Click on Change advanced power settings.
  4. In the new window, find Sleep > Hibernate after.
  5. Set the desired time for when you want your laptop to enter hibernation. You can specify separate timings for On battery and Plugged in.

Use Task Scheduler (for Advanced Control): If you need to hibernate the laptop at a specific time each day, you can use Task Scheduler.

  1. Press Windows + S, type Task Scheduler, and open it.
  2. In Task Scheduler, click Create Basic Task from the Actions pane on the right.
  3. Give the task a name (e.g., "Hibernate Schedule") and click Next.
  4. Select the frequency (Daily, Weekly, etc.), and set the exact time you want the laptop to hibernate.
  5. Choose Start a program and click Next.
  6. In the Program/script box, type shutdown.
  7. In the Add arguments box, type /h to specify hibernation.
  8. Click Finish to create the task.
