Download the recovery tool from this link on another Windows-based PC.

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Free download and install on Windows | Microsoft Store

Run the recovery tool, and when prompted to enter the product number, type the number provided by Paul to proceed to create a bootable recovery usb drive.

Connect the recovery usb drive to the notebook. Turn it on and immediately hit the F9 key repeatedly for boot option menu. Select USB Flash Drive (or USB Hard Drive) and hit the Enter key to run the recovery media to restore the hard drive to a factory state. This process will take a while to complete.

Please click the second link I posted earlier for more information about the recovery procedure.

@Alstratt,

First find your product number (ProdID), which is printed on the bottom cover of your notebook and enter it at the link below. If your model supports the cloud recovery tool, the link will say so with the recovery tool download link being shown.

Hi, @Alstratt

Your notebook's product number is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool:

This is the product number you have to enter when running the cloud recovery tool on another PC when prompted.

Folks reported those issues, but as far as I know, they are not resolved.

My suggestion is to clean install Windows with Microsoft Media Creation Tool from the MS download site.

Download Windows 11

Download Windows 10

Download and run the media creation tool to create a bootable Windows installation usb drive.

Your model comes with an Intel Core 11th gen processor which requires you to supply Intel RST storage drivers to the Windows installer to detect the storage drive to install Windows on. You can follow the steps below to install IRST drivers.

1. Connect a Windows installation usb drive you just created to another Windows PC and download Intel RST driver from the link below. Run it as administrator and follow the on-screen instructions to perform the driver extraction.

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp146501-147000/sp146929.exe

2. Go to C:\SWSetup\sp146929. Double click the sp146929 folder and copy the F6 folder to the root directory of the Windows installation usb drive. The F6 folder contains IRST drivers which the installation setup needs to detect the storage drive.

3. Connect the installation usb drive to the notebook. Turn it on and immediately hit the F9 key repeatedly for boot option menu. Select USB Flash Drive (or USB Hard Drive) to install Windows from the USB drive. When you come to the screen that asks you where you want to install Windows, click on Load Driver -> Browse -> the usb drive in the window that opens -> the F6 folder -> OK.

4. Multiple .inf driver files may be displayed. Select one and click Next. If no driver files are displayed, uncheck the box on the bottom left corner of the screen to display drivers. Find and select an 'iaStorVD.inf ' file and click Next to load the driver.

5. The storage drive may be displayed with multiple partitions. Select each of all the partitions and hit Delete. When you just see 'unallocated space,' click Next to proceed the installation.
