@Satyajeet111222, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
From your message, it seems that:
- Your operating system has crashed.
- You're trying to reinstall Windows using a bootable USB.
- The laptop either doesn’t boot properly from USB or doesn’t show any drives during installation.
Let’s go through some steps to troubleshoot this:
Step 1: Confirm USB Bootable Media
- Make sure the USB was created properly using the Windows Media Creation Tool.
- The USB should be formatted to FAT32 and have 32 GB of space.
- You can create one using another working PC from this Microsoft link: Download Windows 11
Step 2: Boot from USB
- Insert the USB into the laptop.
- Turn off the laptop completely.
- Turn it on and immediately start pressing Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
- Press F9 to open Boot Device Options.
- Select your USB drive and press Enter.
Step 3: No Drive Detected During Install?
If the Windows installer starts but no drives are shown for installation:
It could be a missing storage controller driver (common with AMD chipset-based systems).
Solution:
- When you're on the "Where do you want to install Windows?" screen, press Shift + F10 to open Command Prompt.
- Type diskpart → press Enter.
- Type list disk → press Enter.
Do you see your internal hard drive?
If no, the disk may not be detected due to a driver issue or hardware failure.
If yes, continue with the following:
- Type exit to close diskpart, then close the Command Prompt.
- Download the AMD SATA/RAID driver for your laptop model on another PC from the HP Support site or AMD website.
- Load the driver during Windows Setup by clicking "Load driver".
Optional: Reset BIOS Settings
If the system is not even recognizing the USB or internal storage:
- Turn off the laptop.
- Turn it on and press Esc, then F10 for BIOS.
- In BIOS, press F9 to load defaults, then F10 to save and exit.
- Make sure the USB drive is shown as a boot option.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
