Hi @vikas114,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP 15s-eq0063au laptop is running very slow and file downloads are taking a long time. Let’s go through some steps to identify and fix the issue.

Check Internet Connection

Ensure your Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection is stable.

Try restarting your router or connecting to another network to rule out network issues.

Check for Background Processes

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.

Look for programs consuming high CPU, memory, or disk usage.

Close unnecessary applications or browser tabs to free up resources.

Run Windows Updates

Go to Settings → Windows Update and check for updates.

Install pending updates and restart the laptop if needed.

Check Storage Space

Open This PC and check if your C: drive has enough free space (at least 15–20% free).

If low, delete unnecessary files or move them to an external drive.

Scan for Malware or Viruses

Use Windows Security → Virus & Threat Protection → Quick Scan.

Remove any detected threats and restart your laptop.

Disable Startup Programs

Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc → Startup tab.

Disable programs you don’t need to launch at startup.

Check Disk Health

Open Command Prompt as administrator and type:
chkdsk /f /r

This will check for disk errors and fix them (may require a restart).

Adjust Power Settings

Go to Settings → System → Power & Battery → Power Mode.

Set to Best Performance instead of Battery Saver or Balanced.

Clear Temporary Files

Press Windows + R, type %temp%, and press Enter.

Delete all files in the folder.

I hope this helps.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍
