Hi @Jemalt,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When your HP laptop says “please visit HP Startup” or shows a message about HP Startup or Sure Start, it usually means the system is in a firmware recovery or security mode and cannot boot normally.

Steps to Open Your Laptop (Boot It Up)

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the charger and remove any external devices.
  • If the battery is removable, take it out.
  • Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the charger and try powering on.

2. Run HP BIOS Recovery

  • Press and hold Windows + B, then press the power button for 2–3 seconds.
  • Release the power button, but keep holding Windows + B until you see the BIOS recovery screen.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to repair the BIOS.

3. Update BIOS After Recovery

  • Once the laptop boots, go to Official HP® Support.
  • Enter your laptop model and download the latest BIOS update.

4. If It Still Shows HP Startup Message

  • This may indicate a firmware integrity issue or TPM security lock.
  • Contact HP Support for assistance with Sure Start recovery or BIOS reflash.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
