i used my computer on charge for a long time. after a while it started charging and then it stopped charging. there is no problem with the charging cables, they are all connected properly. when i unplug and plug in the 3 way cable in front of the charging adapter it keeps charging for a short time and then disconnects again. where is the problem

Please run the battery report and post the summery
you run the battery report by bringing up the administrator command window and running
powercfg/batteryreport |
as shown below
After entering that explorer line you should see something like the following. You will have to click on it as it is long
http://stateson.net/docs/SP4_battery-report.html
You can use the WindowsKey + shift + S to copy and paste a small image if you want.
Battery should last about 5 years but less for gaming systems. Have you done a battery calibration?
Maybe the system thinks the battery is fully charged and stops.
What version bios are you at? I think the latest is F66 dated May 2024 but I would not upgrade unless the hp support assistant recommended.

I did this but I didn't understand anything. I didn't have a problem with charging, actually I think it's the charging adapter because it stops charging by itself while charging, so I plug the cable from the charging adapter back to itself and then I charge it. it continues to charge for about 5 minutes and then returns to the original capacity (stops charging)
I was leaving games (minecraft) afk on the computer and in the meantime I was leaving it charging so the computer wouldn't run out of battery. could this be it?
"That adapter which I'm talking about. when I disconnect and reconnect the cables, it only charges for 5 minutes."
(By the way, I bought this PC 1 year ago)
