@brock14, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Setup Your Printer After Secure Erase!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Restore Firmware: The printer's firmware usually remains intact after a secure erase. Ensure it is running on the latest version. You can do this through Web Jetadmin or the printer’s front panel, with assistance from an HP Support representative.

Reconfigure Printer Settings:

  • Setup Menu: Access the printer’s Setup menu from the front panel to adjust general settings like date, time, and default configurations.
  • Connectivity Settings: Go to Settings > Connectivity in the menu to configure network details such as IP addresses, and verify internet connection settings.

Re-establish Network Connection:

  • Network Setup: Ensure the printer is connected to your network. You may need to setup network folders or FTP settings if applicable, as these might have been erased.
  • Check Connections: Ensure the printer and the computer are on the same subnet and check firewall settings to prevent blocking CIFS/SMB ports.

Firmware Upgrades:

  • You may want to check for any automatic firmware updates unless the internet connection is disabled.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
