Hi @Komalpreet47

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP Spectre x360 is shutting down unexpectedly when folded into tablet mode. This could be due to power settings, driver issues, or even hardware-related concerns.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check Power Settings:

  • Open the Start menu and search for "Power & sleep settings."
  • Under "Sleep," ensure that the settings for "When my PC is asleep and on battery power" are set to "Never."
  • Scroll down to "Related settings" and click on "Additional power settings."
  • In the Power Options window, click "Change plan settings" next to your selected power plan.
  • Click "Change advanced power settings" and look for "Power buttons and lid" or similar options.
  • Set "Lid close action" to "Do nothing" for both "On battery" and "Plugged in."

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure your laptop has the latest Windows updates and HP driver updates installed. Outdated drivers can cause compatibility issues.
  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your model.

Update BIOS:

  • Check for BIOS updates on the HP Support website. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware-related issues.

Test Hardware:

  • If the issue persists, it might be worth running a hardware diagnostic test using HP's built-in tools or contacting HP Support for further assistance.

Let me know if you'd like more detailed guidance on any of these steps! 😊

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
