The "Product Information Not Valid" error message with System Board (00A) indicates that crucial information such as the product name, serial number, SKU, product family, and system board CT number is missing or incorrect. This issue often occurs after replacing the system board or another component, and it signals that the serial number was not entered or was entered incorrectly.

 

Recommended Action

To resolve this issue, you will need to update the product information using the Computer Setup utility. Below are the steps to address this problem:

  1. Restart the computer and enter the Computer Setup by pressing Esc when the message "Press the ESC key for Startup Menu" appears.
  2. Press F10 to enter Computer Setup.
  3. Navigate to the relevant settings where you can correct or input the missing product information.
  4. Save the changes and exit the setup.
