my hard drive died and I do not have a copy of restore. is there a way to do this from usb? i cannot do it from cloud as it is for windows 10 64 bit

Hi:

 

Since your notebook is not supported by the HP cloud recovery tool, you can reinstall W10 for free by making bootable USB installation media with the media creation tool from the link below.

 

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

 

After W10 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.
