hi my name is Harish...i am using hp pavilion 15 e017TX.in my laptop recently changed motherboard and hard drive by hp service...but after placing hp recovery CD its showing like The recovery attempt has failed.select one of the following buttons.

save log       details          Retry

please help me to solve this problem...

I have read your post and wanted to help. I understand that after HP replaced the hard drive and motherboard of your laptop, the recovery discs do not work on your laptop.

 

You can contact HP Support for this issue.

 

Or you can create a set of new recovery discs since the hard drive is replaced. Your laptop came with Windows 8. You can review this document: HP PCs - Creating a Recovery Image on Discs or Saving a Recovery Image to a USB Flash Drive (Windows... If your OS is not Windows 8, let me know.
