Dear Customer,

Go to BIOS by tapping F10 on boot

Advanced -> boot options ->
1) uncheck power on when AC detected
2) uncheck power on when the Lid is opened

go to Main
->Save changes and exit

Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again

Hello I have the same issue on my new Elitebook 1040 G3 it has 16GB memory and a 512 SSD.

The weird thing is that it doesn't reboot when running on battery power only when it's connected to power. I had the thinline dock and it reboot frequently in that mode so I returned the dock but with the standard 45 W  charger/power supply it does the same thing I have run all the diagnostics even one that took 4 1/2 hours, I have updated all the BIOS setting but no change.

After running in battery mode I plug in the power supply and it ALWAYS reboots within 10 minutes, the power supply when used with a charged system is cool to the touch but when charging a depleted battery it becomes VERY hot to the touch..

I am very suspicious that the power supply is too small or maybe it's the battery charging system that's bad.

Any ideas??
