Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

unnamed (2).jpgHello everyone. I purchased a laptop off ebay. it worked fine for the first day. I had found a charger that was compatible with the laptop and used this chager on the laptop. once i saw that it was full charge i took out the charger. when i did this, the screen began to glitch. Anytime I attempted to click something nothing would load. I then turned it off using the power button as this was my only choice. I waited a couple minutes and when attempting to restart it presented me with hp hardware diagnostics uefi screen. After several failed attempts to start up windows again, i eventually had to purchase a USB with windows 10 Pro. I got the set up to start, but installation couldn’t continue as set up couldn’t detect any drives. after looking through files, i attempted a recovery. now i am stuck at the recovery screen. i looked online and people have said to try clicking esc and then f9 and pressing the USB but this also leads right back to the recovery screen. pictures attached below. i have tried turning it on and off multiple times. appreciate any help, thanksunnamed (1).jpgunnamed.jpg

Welcome to HP support community.

Provide the notebook product number or the complete model number?

Meanwhile:

It seems to be a possible harddisk failure, run an extensive hardware test to confirm:

  •  Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  • Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
  • On the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu, click System Tests.
  • Click Extensive Test.
  • Click Run once, or Loop until error.
  • While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component display on the screen.
  • If a component fails a test, write down the failure ID (24-digit code) for when you respond back to us.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
