I am unable to log in to my usual profile. I receive a message that I cannot be signed in and then I am forced to operate from a temporary profile. I have no access to any of my files. Anyone out there who can help? I am using Windows 10 on my HP laptop.

Please try these steps

  1. Shut down the Notebook and upon restarting keep tapping on F11 till you get to the Windows Recovery Manager Screen
  2. Click on Troubleshoot Advanced Options Command Prompt.
  3. In Command Prompt, type the following command, and then hit Enter:
    Net user administrator /active:yes
  4. Restart your PC, login to Administrator
  5. Try to backup your files or create another New Admin Account
