Hi @sanjanasp,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your laptop is stuck in a boot loop. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

Hard Reset

  • Disconnect all peripherals (USB devices, external drives, etc.).
  • Unplug the power adapter and remove the battery (if removable).
  • Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
  • Reinsert the battery (if applicable) and reconnect the power adapter.
  • Try turning on the laptop again.

Boot into Safe Mode

  • Turn on the laptop and immediately start pressing the F8 key repeatedly until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears.
  • If you see the menu, select Safe Mode and press Enter.
  • If your laptop boots into Safe Mode, you may be able to troubleshoot further from there.

Use Recovery Options

  • If you can access the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE):
    • Turn on your laptop and, as soon as you see the HP logo, press and hold the Power button to force a shutdown.
    • Repeat this process 2-3 times until you see the Preparing Automatic Repair message.
    • Once in WinRE, select Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Repair.

System Restore

  • If Startup Repair doesn’t work, you can try a System Restore from the Advanced options in WinRE. This will revert your laptop to a previous state before the reset attempt.

Reset the Laptop Again

  • If all else fails, you might consider trying to reset the laptop again using the recovery options, but be aware this may result in data loss.

Check Hardware

  • If your laptop is still not starting, there may be a hardware issue. This could involve checking the RAM or hard drive connections.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
