I too am having a similar issue with my HP ZBook 17 G2 and Windows 7 32-bit with 8GB memory. I've updated the BIOS to the latest from HP's website and tested the memory configurations both with the 4GB SODIMMs in Primary slots 1 and 2 as well as one module in Primary slot 1 and Secondary slot 1. Both result in the over 7GB of memory being "hardware reserved" in Windows. Has this issue never been addressed properly in these many years?
