Hello is it possible to recover pictures lost during a facory reset.

Ummmm.maybe. Stop using the laptop as much as possible. Find a free app called recuva:

It is pretty self-explanatory. Run the computer only for the purpose of running the recovery. The really best way to do it is to pull the hard drive from the computer and attempt recovery on a different computer, with the hard drive attached externally. Provide a space on the second computer to store the recovered files.

You can try the free version of the Recuva recovery software. Use the 'portable' version so it does not install onto your hard drive and possibly write over something you are trying to recover.
