HP Envy laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a HP ENVY LAPTOP 17-17Tcg100 with  1 TB 7200 rpm SATA HD 128 GB SSD.

What is the SSD used for?  I loaded all programs and data on it, and they all wen to C:

Can I drag over my programs into 😧 ?

@Jerral

Sorry, no.  First off, nearly all programs have to be installed to "C"  to work.  Some games allow you to install the really large data files to a different drive, but the program code still gets installed to "C".

Second, you can't move apps from one drive to another because they were installed with lots of different pieces, spread across lots of different system folders.  It's not something you can do.

As to the SSD, if the PC came with both an SSD and an HDD, then the OS should have been preloaded to the SSD.  So, what makes you think the OS was preloaded to the HDD?

My computer was ordered from China, and it arrived Nov 22 with the OS on C: instead of SSD. What can I do?

I purchased this  $1150.00 laptop from HP online. He said128 SSD s C: is for WINDOWS ONLY. The Tech couldn't explain why I can't install programs on the 1 TB 😧

Cannot get Programs to operate on D:Data  1:TB  HD SATA.  Why such a humongous D drive for JUST FOR photos and FILES?

   I have been trying to upload all programs to D:Data for a week with no results from HP Techs to Internet.

i am totally confused.
