I purchased two computers. When I try to install the apps for office 365 it ask me for a product key or tells me I have to buy Office 365. I was told when I was sold these two laptops we could share the one subscription.
I was just chatting with Microsoft for over two hours and them told me to contact you.
Please help

Unless you purchased a license for office, the verson that comes with windows is good for only 30 days.
This is the subscription
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/buy/compare-all-microsoft-365-products
Personal plan is 70 USD a year. For 100 USD up to 5 different users and each user can do 5 installs.
My brother paid $15 for Office Pro 2021 and had no problem activating it so that is another option. It does not expire but then it is not update either.
If the vendor started that office was free technically that is truthfull but the free expires after 30 days.
To see what you own, log into your microsoft account or what every account was used to activate windows and expand "subscriptions" at the top of the and at the bottom look for "purchases"
