Estou tentando colocar um ssd nesse notebook que é bem antigo, mas ele não reconhece quando tento colocar o ssd ou um pendrive para instalar uma nova imagem...
já coloquei a Bios mais atualizada que achei, que é a F39.
modelo do notebook é
HP Pavilion Dv2120

HP has retired support for your notebook since it is more than 10 years old.
This reputable 3rd party driver website has the latest BIOS update that was released for the dv2000 model series that came with the Intel processors.

It was written to be run using Windows Vista.

Your notebook is too old to run a SSD.
The SATA controller is only SATA I and most SATA III SSD's are only backward compatible to SATA II.
That is probably why the SSD is not recognized in the BIOS or Windows.
